Chisom Maranatha Anaetoh known by the professional name Som Maranatha is a Nigerian gospel musician, Music director, song writer , recording artist and a worship leader at TTC – The Torchlighters Church Enugu.
LIFE/BIOGRAPHY
Chisom Maranatha Anaetoh hails from Nanka in Orumba North LGA of Anambra state, eastern Nigeria, and is the last child in the family of six children.
Som Maranatha started singing at the young age of 5 in her family church (Parousian church of Christ) and transitioned to adult choir prior to launching her musical career.
She studied biochemistry and music in Nnamdi Azikiwe university Awka. In 2018, she became the vice President of MUSAN ( Music Students association of Nigeria, Unizik Chapter) where she was committed to grooming and coaching of those she was leading by organizing concerts.
MUSICAL CAREER
As a child Chisom Maranatha Anaetoh stated she had dreams where she saw herself singing to large crowds but didn’t actively pursue same as a career besides joining the choir , Due to her unquenching zeal and passion, she recorded her first album in 2013 titled “You are worthy” ( though unreleased).
As a songwriter, Som Maranatha has written many songs amongst them are “a new dawn”, “He Lives”, Hallelujah”… and has won several awards
